“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana” The 27 th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme which was held on 20th August, 2017 in Bannimantap covering Hudco Layout, Hanumanthanagar 3 rd Stage, Bannimantap 2 nd Stage, Shivarathrishwaranagar and Mysore Lac & paints colony. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, Prof. K S Nagapathi and Sri Dhanaraj, husband of local corporator Smt B K Pushapavathi, inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses and requested residents not to throw their waste in public places and avoid using plastic bags. They were also requested to take care of their surrounding public places as they take care of their houses. 230 committed volunteers, 20 local residents overall 250 people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
