Viveka-Smaraka-Bhoomi-Puja

The Bhumi Puja and foundation stone laying ceremony of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre — Viveka Smaraka was held successfully on 6 July 2022 by Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, in the premises of erstwhile NTM School area. It was observed on a grand scale involving all government officials and local elected leaders. The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by a large number of local people. Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji, the pontiff of Virasamsthan Math, Suttur of the Lingayat community responded to the invitation and was the Guest of Honour. Swami in-charge of the local branch of Adichunchanagiri Math of Vokkaliga community also participated. 40 monastic members from nearby centres and Bhavaprachar Parishad centres participated in the event. Sri S T Somashekhar, the Minister of Co-Operation and District-in-charge Minister, Pratap Simha, the local MP, local MLAs, DC, Mayor, Corporators and other dignitaries were present. Members of Viveka Smaraka committee who worked very hard for the last 9 years were also present.
