“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana" The 10 th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held in 7 different areas of Ward No 56 which include Shaktinagar layout, JSS layout, Teachers’ layout, Vidyashankara layout, HPRMS layout, Srinagara layout, Sathagalli layout and Nehrunagar. Swami Nityasthanandaji Maharaj, a senior monk of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Smt Rajani Annaiah, local corporator and Sri Annaiah inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses individually and requested them to maintain the cleanliness in the surroundings. To keep public places clean is everybody’s responsibility was the message of this campaign. About 200 committed volunteers, 30 corporation cleaning staff and 70 local citizens participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. A brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
