“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana"
The 12
th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held today in 7 different areas of Siddartha Layout which include Kurubarahalli, Pourakarmikara Colony, Sangeetha Corner, Vinaya marga, Sanmarga, Kapila Marga and surroundings of Ganapati Temple. Swami Kamalanandaji Maharaj, Senior Monk, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Smt Mahadevamma, local corporator and Sri D Madegowda, EX MLC inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses and requested them to maintain the cleanliness in the surroundings. As we take care of our houses, we should also love and take care of our surroundings, public places which belong to all of us. About 200 committed volunteers, 30 corporation cleaning staff and 80 local citizens participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign enthusiastically. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
