“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana"
The 14th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held on 7 different areas of Nazarabad extension which include locality behind Police Commissioner’s office, Hyder Gunta, Jatti Beedi, Kamatageri, Masjid road, Lingaiah Colony. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Sri D Madegowda, EX MLC, Sri Kushal Kumar, local corporator and Smt Rekha Vishnumurthy, Chief of Shanthaveri Gopalagowda Memorial Hospital inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses and requested them to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings. As we take care of our houses, we should also love and take care of our surroundings as public places belong to all of us. About 120 students of Gopalagowda Nursing college, 220 committed volunteers, 30 corporation cleaning staff and overall 370 people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
