“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana”
The 22nd week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held on 02.07.2017 in Mandi Mohalla covering Kamatageri, Patavegar Beedhi, Chamban math road, Soppinakeri
, Uppinakeri, Turabali road, Wesley road, Olekoyyo road and Rathansingh galli. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Swami Jitakamanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru, Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, Sri Ramesh, local corporator inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses and requested residents not to throw their waste in public places and avoid using plastic bags. They were also requested to take care of their surrounding public places as they take care of their houses. Students conducted awareness rally in different streets of the locality through slogans. 280 committed volunteers, 20 local residents overall 300 people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
