“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana”
The 21st week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held on 25th June, 2017 in Devaraja Mohalla covering Seebaiah Road, Kothwala Ramaiah Road, Dodda Vokkalageri, Ane Sarotu Road and areas around Amruteshwara temple and Ayurvedic hospital.
Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, Sri M J Ravikumar local corporator and Mayor of Mysuru City Corporation and Sri L Nagendra, former Chairman of Mysuru Urban Development authority, inaugurated the campaign.
Thorough cleaning of Chikkagadiyara circle with water by enthusiastic local volunteers was the attractive part of the program.
Volunteers visited houses and requested residents not to throw their waste in public places and avoid using plastic bags. They were also requested to take care of their surrounding public places as they take care of their houses.
200 committed volunteers, 20 corporation cleaning staff and 60 local residents overall 280 people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
