“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana” campaign blossoms in Kuvempunagar Mysore, 17 September: The 31 st week of the “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” campaign to enhance civic awareness about neighborhood cleanliness and environmental protection was held in Kuvempunagar today, covering K block, Anikethana Road P & T block, J block, I block, C & D block, E & F block, G & H block, Navilu Road, etc. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Sri Krishna, former speaker of Vidhana Sabha, Sri D Madegowda, former MLC, Sri M J Ravikumar, Mayor, Mysuru City Corporation, Smt Rathna Lakshman Deputy Mayor, Sri K V Mallesh, local corporator, Sri S Purushotam, former mayor, Mysuru City Corporation, Sri Krishna, proprietor, Vasu Agarbathies, Professor K S Nagapathi and officials of Mysuru City Corporation participated in the inauguration of the campaign. Residents were requested to 1. Desist from throwing waste in public places, 2. Avoid using plastic bags, and 3.Take care of hygiene in surrounding public places. Ashrama volunteers, students from TTL college, Vijaya Vittala College, JSS law college, Vijaya Chethana College, Basudev Somani College, Government Pre-university College, Vidyavardhaka High School, Jnanaganga High School, members of Anikethana Seva Trust and local residents, in all 400 people, participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. A brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to households in the locality.
