The 5th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme which was launched by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama for 40 weeks to bring public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, was held today in 7 different areas of Jayalakshmipuram. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru and Sri Vasu, MLA inaugurated the campaign. Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, Smt Bhagyavathi, local Corporater, Sri Subramanya, Smt Modamani, Sri Ravindra R, Sri Yogananda, Sri Mohan D N, Sri Kariappa and others participated in the awareness drive. About 250 committed volunteers, 50 several school students and teachers participated in the cleaning campaign. A brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality. The awareness about the importance of cleanliness and noble life was given to local high school and college students.
