Swachcha Mysuru 8th Week

“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana" The 8 ^th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme which was launched by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama for 40 weeks to bring public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, was held today in 7 different areas of Raghavendra layout. In the presence of Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Swami Veershanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, Kolkata, Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, Smt Ashwini Ananthu, local corporator inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses individually and requested them to maintain the cleanliness in the surroundings. To keep public places clean is everybody’s responsibility was the message of this campaign. The participation of local residents in the campaign was a great encouragement and an inspiration to all the volunteers. About 200 committed volunteers, 30 corporation cleaning workers and 50 local citizens participated in the cleaning campaign. A brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
