“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana” The 23rd week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held on 16.07.201 
7 in Veeranagere covering Sattar Sait Block, Gandhinagara, Lourdnagara, Mamasait Block and Pourakarmikara Colony. Swami Nityasthanandaji Maharaj, Senior monk of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, Ex MLC Sri D Madegowda and Sri R Ravindra Kumar, local corporator inaugurated the campaign. Volunteers visited houses and requested residents not to throw their waste in public places and avoid using plastic bags. They were also requested to take care of their surrounding public places as they take care of their houses. Students conducted awareness rally in different streets of the locality through slogans. 230 committed volunteers, 50 local residents overall 280 people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
