The 9th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” programme was held on 02.04.2017 in 7 different areas of Gousia layout. Swami Atmajnanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, corporator Sri Akram Shariff and Sri D Madegowda, Ex MLC, inaugurated the campaign.
Volunteers visited houses individually and requested them to maintain the cleanliness in the surroundings. To keep public places clean is everybody’s responsibility was the message of this campaign. The participation of local residents in the campaign was a great encouragement and an inspiration to all the volunteers.
About 200 committed volunteers, 30 corporation cleaning workers and local citizens participated in the cleaning campaign. A brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
