“Swachha Mysore Swastha Jeevana” campaign in Sharadadevinagar The 30 th week “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” campaign to bring public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection was held on 10th September in Sharadadevinagar covering Chamundeshwari Park, Janathanagar, Vasanthanagar, T K Layout, Anandanagar, Niveditanagar, Basaveshwaranagar, Krishnamurthy layout, C F T R I layout, Ayush layout, Treasury layout etc,. Swami Mokshatmanandaji Maharaj of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Ex MLC Sri D Madegowda, local corporator Sri J S Jagadeesh and Prof K S Nagapathi inaugurated the campaign. Residents are requested to desist from throwing waste in public places, avoid using plastic bags and take care of hygiene in surrounding public places. About 250 people including volunteers, NSS students and local people participated in the cleaning and awareness campaign. Brochure on “Swachha Mysuru Swastha Jeevana” was distributed to houses in the locality.
