Vasantha Vihara 2023
Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru organized a summer camp (Vasanta Vihara) from 23 – 30 April 2023 in which 103 students of classes 8,9 and 10 participated.
During this camp classes on Yogasana, Bhajans and gardening were held on a daily basis. Eminent orators delivered talks on various topics including life and teachings of Holy Trio, Stories from Mahabharata, Communication Skills, Awareness about snakes, 'I am the architect of my own personality' and 'How to read newspaper'. Creative activities like doodling, craft and poster making were conducted from which the participants benefited very much. Special session based on Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Vedic Math and Math activities were also held.
A unique written quiz competition was conducted on the penultimate day in which the participants were asked questions based on what was taught for the entire week. Breakfast and Juice refreshments were provided for all day.
The camp concluded on 30th April. A unique event, Matri Vandana, wherein each participant worshipped their mother, was held on the concluding day. Students displayed yogasanas, performed a short drama on the tecahings of Swami Vivekananda and sang devotional songs.
Certificate of participation were given to all and prizes were awarded to the winners of the quiz and the best participants among boys and girls.
